Homer’s Penelope
And Why She Is Important

An Illustrated Presentation by Dr. Lena Hatzichronoglou

Penelope, Odysseus’ wife, is praised by Homer above all women for her loyalty, beauty, skill and wisdom. But her life is not easy, and the circumstances in which her excellence is to be proven are very complex.

In this illustrated presentation we will follow her story, her pain, her agony and tears, and, despite all odds, we will see her emerge as a winner. Her courage and perseverance will challenge us to look at our own experiences, and they will show us that, despite the difficulties, we too can stand up for our lives.
